Here is what the voting forms looked like:

Friday 28th February 1997

Steve Coppell returned to manage Crystal Palace for a third time when he was appointed as the caretaker manager of the Eagles after the departure of Dave Bassett to Nottingham Forest two days earlier – Ron Noades and Steve Parrish obviously differ in their philosophy in the amount of time that it should take to employ a new manager!

Saturday 29th February 1998

Crystal Palace 1-0 Barnsley

League Division One – Att: 17,021

Manager: Steve Coppell

There is clearly something about the 28th February. Eleven years after the above protest about a merger with Wimbledon, Palace fans were protesting again, this time to try and rid the Club of owner Mark Goldberg.

5,000 “Goldberg Out!” signs were printed up and displayed in the 1-0 victory. Hayden Mullins grabbed the only goal of the game.

Saturday 28th February 2015

West Ham United 1-3 Crystal Palace

Premier League – Att: 34,857

Manager: Alan Pardew

Jason Puncheon became the first ever Palace player to register three assists in a Premier League match as he carved West Ham apart with his set piece accuracy. Glenn Murray, twice, and Scott Dann were the beneficiaries of the service as the Eagles continued their extraordinary away form under Alan Pardew.

Despite scoring a brace, the day would end slightly sour as he received his marching orders just over twenty minutes from time for a second yellow – albeit an incredibly soft one.
