There's A Star Man

There's a starman

Playing on the right

He's name is Andros Townsend

And he's fucking dynamite.

Info

For whatever reason, it took until the first game of his third season in red 'n' blue for Andros Townsend to get a song. The workhorse wide man had certainly done enough to earn one before then, but it was worth the wait when the away terrace at Fulham belted out this beauty to the tune of the late David Bowie's, Starman.

As for the origin of the song, Sam Carp (affiliated with Palace Blog The Eagles Beak) took a Hibs supporting friend to the Toulouse game at Selhurst Park a week before the 18/19 season kicked off. The Scottish outfit sing the same song for Martin Boyle and a simple change of name led to the song being born.
